Temporarily Abandoned but Not Forgotten
Well, it has been a long while. A lot has changed. Here's a brief update:
Allen and I went to the USA for Christmas. We had a great and relaxing time. We came back to Korea and I started 2 new classes. With those 2 new classes I started a more full time daily studying routine. I was barely at the school at all. Working so hard to make it in Biology and Humanities. Fortunately now that term has eneded and I'm on to another. This week starts Education, differentiated learning and Creation studies. Should both be very interesting.
As for my health, well to put it bluntly it stinks. Upon returning to Korea, my insomnia went from 3-4 times a week to every night. Basically from Jan. 12 to Mar. 12, I got about 4 or 5 nights where I did not lie awake for 45 minutes to 2 hours before falling asleep. It appears as though it was related to my new medicine. I stopped taking it, and have slept well for 3 nights. Praise the Lord! However, my stomach is still a concern. Poops are either to frequent or not enough. Allen claims I have no middle ground in that department. The internal pain has been minimal, although the external pain has been quite horrid.
For the first time Allen was able to accompany me to Thailand. We went over the Lunar New Year break. He spent some time at NightLight meeting the ladies, and he got to visit with his friends who he hasn't seen in a while. I also was able to see some good sights for the first time! We had a really great time.
For Christmas Allen got me a DSLR, and I am loving it! I've taken nearly 2000 pictures since then and it's grand. It's given me a new fire for photography.
In 1 week I will go back to Thailand and work at NightLight with a teacher from Allen's school. I am looking forward to it. Allen will return to Indonesia with 51 middle school students and 10 teachers from school to minister to the people there.
Soccer season started earlier this year, and I am coaching again. The girls had a phonomenal game on Wed. We didn't win, but it was the first game in my 4 year history as part of the coaching team where the second half of the game was better than the first! Praise the Lord! I believe we can win some games this year!
So that sums it all up in a nut shell.
